Do you love cooking? Do you want to help make our school lunches better?
We are looking for volunteers to form a foods committee and help research healthy scratch cooking recipes for our lunch program. The USDA has strict guidelines on calorie and sodium levels along with portion sizes. You will need to learn these guidelines before we can breakdown recipes to see if they are “creditable”. (I will provide you with the materials for these guidelines.)
Once we have a few people interested we will set a meeting date that fits everyone’s schedules.
