  • School Board Vacancy

    Quilcene School Board Vacancy: At-Large Position. A description of board duties is listed under School Board tab (see board Policy No. 1005). Please provide a letter of interest to Board Chair, Greg Brotherton, P.O. Box 40, Quilcene WA. 98376. The deadline to apply is February 10th, 2016 at the close of business. Your application will be complete upon submission of the following: • A letter stating why you are interested in serving on the board and your qualifications. • A physical address of where you are currently living in the Quilcene District. We encourage you to include any honors, awards or other information that you feel is pertinent for us to consider when reviewing your application.

  • Volunteers Needed For Playground Remodel!!!

    Habitat for Humanity came out on Thursday, January 28th and took apart the Big Toy (removing rotten pieces and taking out the smaller pieces.) If you are interested in helping out it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

  • Donation received for Phase I Playground Upgrade!

    Business Manager Cindy Pollard receiving $13,000 donation from Board Chair Greg Brotherton to be used toward the Playground Project to replace (or possibly repair) the current 30 year-old "Big Toy" structure. Five new pieces of playground equipment will be purchased from the school budget, and community donations such as this from local companies Coast Oyster and Taylor United Shellfish. If you would like to volunteer time, donations, ideas, and thoughts are welcomed at the next playground meeting on January 2016.

  • Thank You Masons!

    Thank you to our local Masons and Bob Club for the donation of two bicycles to our school. Student names were submitted for a drawing. Students who did extra reading and completed reports were eligible for this drawing. Our students recipients were Parker Fettig and Riley Benek, congratulations kiddos! A big thank you to our Masons!

    We are aware that our flashing beacons are not working properly. We are waiting for parts to come in to replace one, and we are working on the other two. Thank you for your phone calls letting us know. We hope to have them up and working soon!
